One of our first two properties, Villa Sha, is a luxury beachfront villa on a quiet Cancun beach far from tourists. The exquisitely designed villa features six suites, an outdoor pool, and both an indoor and outdoor bar. We interviewed the property manager to learn more about what makes this property so unique. What are some of your favorite decor, design, or architectural elements in Villa Sha?
The design itself is unique! As soon as you step through the entrance you can tell this house is like no other, from the pillars and the obelisk to the custom motorcycle. Every corner is decorated and detailed.
Can you tell us more about the custom motorcycle?
It was comissioned from Hazan Motorworks, a custom motorcycle builder and artist in LA. The creator and head of Hazan, Max, says every bike that he creates is unique and never replicated. He focuses on making something new with every project to build the most interesting designs possible.
What makes Villa Sha unique?
It was designed by renowned modernist Mexican architect Francisco Artigas. He is most famed for monograph of work in 1972, co-produced with photographer Fernando Luna.
Why should guests come to Cancun?
Cancun is a Mexican landmark full of life, excitement and beauty. You can see nature parks, archeological sites, amazing nightlife and the second biggest reef in the world. Cancun has everything!
Does the bartender make a signature cocktail?
Yes, it is called Aperol Sunset. It’s a mix of Aperol, strawberries, rose wine and a dash of prosecco.
Does the chef cook a signature dish?
Roasted Korobuta Pork Belly strips with peanut red pipian, “chinicuil” maguey worm salt and rustic mashed potatoes with charcoal-roasted chard.

What activities near Villa Sha would you recommend?
1. Isla Mujeres is right across the property with one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
2. Playa Mujeres Golf course is just 15 minutes away from Villa Sha and is open from sunrise to dusk. The course is 18 holes, par 72, and was designed by Greg Norman.

Who was this designed for?
The house was specifically designed for the owner. He and his wife selected every detail and took care of all the interior design and decoration according to their great taste.
Can you tell me about the security features of the villa?
Villa Sha has 24 hour security personnel. The property has perimeter cameras, a security post at the entrance and two alarms. There has never been a problem in or around the property. An added bonus is that Villa Sha is located near a Naval base, so the area is very calm!
